my face(book) is my fortune

Facebook advertising brings target market to the client. Using social media builds current & future marketing, sales opportunities.
Client: Superior Rubber Stamps
Product: Teacher's stamps & Markers

Superior Rubber Stamp, a client since 2003, has always been proactive in trying new ideas to increase their traffic and sales. The most challenging aspect of their internet marketing is the range of appeal of the products which cater to golfers, photographers and notaries just to name a few.

With the rise of social marketing we decided to delve into advertising on FaceBook. In general, we had had mild success advertising golf ball stamps to the right demographic with just an ad and link to website. Now, with the school year just a month away we decided to try and build our teacher's email list while advertising the products available to teachers.

We set up a give-away of $100 of teacher's products like smiley face stamps, poster markers, and etc. The teachers only need sign up to be placed in the drawing. The sign up form fed into an email list that we would use later for further marketing.

To support the give-away offer we set up a low cost FaceBook advertisement geared toward college educated adults over 25 years of age. Because teachers must have a college education and generally graduate around the age of 22 years old or older we felt this would be the right demographic.

The ad called directly to teachers thus reducing the number of non-teachers that would click on the ad. Within 10 days of running the contest we had increased the following on FaceBook by 500% and added 715 new teacher email addresses to the list. The success for this campaign was such that we ran a similar campaign targeting photographers and it, too, yielded positive results.
